As you probably know, fruits and vegetables begin to reduce in their nutritional value and vitality almost as soon as they are picked from their plant.
Testing by Ronnie Ruiz, a researcher with Chanson Water USA (www.chansonwater.com), manufacturer of water ionizers, has changed all that. His results found that soaking produce in alkaline ionized water will revive the antioxidant properties of plant foods - in a similar way that electric shock can revive a heart patient.
Using a sophisticated antioxidant measuring tool called an ORP meter, Ruiz measured the oxidation reduction potential (ORP) of organic backyard tomatoes each hour after picking - and then again each hour after they had been soaking in electrolyzed alkaline ionized water.
Ruiz found that the electrical energy in alkaline ionized water donates its electrons right back into the produce - causing it to have measurably more negative ORP and antioxidants than before it had been placed in the ionized water. This is great news for anyone who wants to benefit from the healing power of living food.
Also, soaking fruits and vegetables in high alkaline water for approximately 10 minutes will remove any waxes or pesticides from non-organic produce - further protecting our health.
